LegoKidsFest

A few weeks ago Daniel and I spent the weekend up in Cincinnati.  We had a great visit with Babushka and Dadushka AND went to the LegoKidsFest on Saturday.  Daniel loved it!  It was so great and totally worth the price of admission.  They had lots of activities for the kids.  Of course, you know we're all about Legos right now - so it was like 'THE BEST DAY EVER' for Daniel.  (yes - that is a direct quote)

Spring Break in CA

We climbed trees....

Loved Legoland...

 Dipped a toe into the cold ocean...

 Had fun at the aquarium...

 Were amazed by the San Diego Zoo...

 Saw the seals in La Jolla....

 Had a few treats...

 And swam in the heated pool every single day we were there!!

Happy Easter!

Long time readers of our blog will remember that the very first weekend after we brought Daniel to America - it was Easter. So we proudly took him to a family favorite - Claudia Sanders Dinner House so he could meet his extended family.

Well, when we found ourselves there again this year, I had to recreate the photo op of Daniel with all of his cousins. Look how much they have all grown! One thing remains true - he loves these kids!!

HAPPY EASTER!! We hope you can find a way to celebrate the glorious resurrection of our Saviour and be renewed. Daniel made the most awesome book at school with all of the verses out of Matthew that tell the Easter story. He read it to us tonight - what a precious time. He was telling us, 'Easter isn't just about candy and eggs mom!' What a blessing that he would say that. How right he is! (of course, he was also telling me that he hopes the Easter bunny brings him an iPhone. He doesn't want much, huh!)
